Code of Conduct

All swimmers, divers, coaches, and parents are team members and representatives of the Louisville Country Club Swim Team. Proper behavior by all team members has a positive influence on individual and team performance and reflects a strong image of our team and our Club.
As a swimmer/diver member of the LCC Swim Team, I, agree to abide by the standards of conduct outlined below during the time I am participating with the LCC Swim Team throughout the summer season:

I will display proper respect and sportsmanship toward fellow team members, fellow competitors, coaches, officials, parents, and facility staff at all times, including team practice sessions, meets, and team social activities.

I will not engage in any violent or inappropriate physical contact.

I will not use obscene, profane, violent, threatening, or abusive language in the presence of any swimmer/diver, parent, coach, or official during practices, meets, or team activities.

I will respect the lifeguards both at the Club and/or other pool facilities & abide by all rules concerning use of the Club facilities and/or other pool facilities.

I will respect the Club's facilities by cleaning up my trash, obeying the Club rules, and not causing mess in, or damage to, any Club area.

I will use my best effort to be punctual to all practices and meets. I (or my parents) will notify Coaches in advance if I am unable to attend a swim meet. I will stay in the designated team area during all swim meets.

I understand that I am prohibited from possession and use of illegal substances and/or use of tobacco and alcohol on Club premises or at any other team activity.

I will refrain from all illegal or inappropriate behaviors that would detract from a positive image of the team and/or the Club or be detrimental to the team's performance objectives.
 
I will follow the directions of the Coaches and/or parent volunteers when under team supervision.
I will respect and follow the judgment of officials and the Coaches and accept their decisions without question. I will not question the Coaches' decisions with respect to swim meet entries and/or relay teams.

I (and my parents when appropriate) will communicate openly and respectfully with the Coaches and/or the Swim Committee regarding all matters that may affect my personal or team performance.

I understand that the Lifeguards have the authority to determine disciplinary consequences for behavior around the pool area which is in violation of the Club's pool rules. I understand that failure to comply with the Club's pool rules may result in, but not necessarily be limited to, any of the following actions:

a. Swimmer/diver asked by a Lifeguard to sit out of the pool for a certain time period.
b. If determined necessary by the Head Coach and a Lifeguard, swimmer/diver sent home.

I understand that the Coaches will determine disciplinary consequences for behavior during practice, meets or other team activities, which is in violation of this Code of Conduct. I understand that failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in, but not necessarily be limited to, any of the following actions:

Swimmer/diver restricted from participating in some or all team activities including practice, meets, and social activities.
Swimmer/diver sent home or pulled from team practice sessions, meets, or team social activities.

If determined appropriate by the Head Coach and the Executive Board of the Swim Committee, swimmer/diver suspended from the team will not be entitled to a refund of the swim team fees.

Swimming Pool & Grounds Rules & Regulations for the 2022 Season

 

Members & Guests

  • All members and guests are required to “sign-in” at the registration desk before entering the Pool Grounds.
  • Towels will be distributed at this time. Limit one towel per person per day.
  • Please return all towels at the end of the day.
  • The Guest Fee is $5 per person per day. Guests may come and go during the day.
  • Should the pool close due to inclement weather, guest fees will not carry over to the following day.
  • Any guest residing within seventy miles of the clubhouse may only be presented to any of the Club’s venues (including the pool) twice per month. Dining is the exception to this rule when accompanied by a member. 


Pool Side, Swimming & Diving Conduct

  • Swimming is only permitted during posted pool hours.
  • Before, During and After Posted Hours the Lifeguard and or Pool Manager is Responsible for the Safety of all members & Guests.
  • There is no running permitted in the Pool deck or surrounding area.
  • There is no rough-housing permitted in the Pool (this includes excessive dunking and sitting on someone else's shoulders).
  • Diving into the Pool is only permitted in areas that are deemed safe for diving.
  • Divers are permitted only one bounce when using the diving board.
  • Only one person is allowed on the diving board at a time.
  • Swimmers are not permitted to exit the diving areas by swimming back towards the diving board.
  • No swimmer is permitted in water over their head unless they are able to swim the entire width of the Pool unassisted.
  • The Pool Manager, Lifeguard or other Pool personnel will determine if a swimmer is permitted in water over their head.
  • During Pool Hours, the Lifeguard(s) are responsible to managing decorum, safety and conduct.
  • Pushing another swimmer into the Pool is never permitted.
  • Children under the age of 12 must be supervised at all times by an adult.
  • The only acceptable flotation device for young children is those that are U.S.C.G. approved
  • Baby Pool Parents should remain with their children at all times whether there is a lifeguard on duty or not.
  • The Baby Pool is for those seven and under to enjoy unless otherwise approved.


Pool Facilities & Locker Rooms

  • Swimmers are not permitted to loiter in the bathrooms, locker rooms, snack bar or exercise room.
  • Any person under the age of 16 in not permitted in the Men’s or Women’s Locker room at any time with the exception of infants.


Safety, Courtesy & Decorum

  • Safety is always our first and primary concern.
  • If an injury occurs, it should be reported immediately to the Lifeguard or Pool Manager.
  • Anyone with open wounds or infectious diseases shall refrain from using the pool until their condition is cleared up.
  • Swim diapers on infants are not allowed in the Main Pool unless accompanied by an adult.
  • All users, regardless of age are expected to dress in a tasteful manner consistent with Louisville Country Club traditions.
  • Vulgar tattoo’s or offensive apparel are never permitted.
  • Upon leaving the pool area entering the clubhouse, all users are required to be covered up.
  • The Pool grounds are smoke free. This includes smokeless tobacco products such as dip and vaping.
  • Personal Loud music is never permitted at any time.
  • Cell phone usage is permitted in the pool area however conversations should be kept to a minimum, low tones and confined to one area.  
  • Pets are not permitted in the pool area.


Food & Beverage

  • No outside food or drink may be brought into the Pool area at any time.
  • All food and drink must be purchased from the Snack Bar or Poolside Bar and Grill.
  • Members are requested to clean up after any meals, snacks or beverages using the receptacles provided.
  • Personal Coolers are not permitted to be brought into the pool area.
  • Personal tumblers are allowed if non-glass.


Furniture & Belongings Usage

  • Chairs, Chaises, Umbrellas and Seating Collections are provided for everyone’s comfort and benefit. Please respect your fellow member by sharing accordingly.
  • Please make sure to clean up after yourself at the end of the day.


Lost & Found

  • The club is not responsible for the loss of any personal belongings.
  • Please check the lost & found area to retrieve any lost articles.

10:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday
